Hello!
MY NAME IS JONI
Welcome to New Roots Art.
As a little girl in school I would always fill out the blank on my paper “when I grow up I want to be … an artist”. God had given me a desire at a very young age and so I pursued it throughout many different avenues in life.
I am a former graduate of Augusta State University where I received a Bachelors in Fine Arts degree. As well as a former instructor of Truth Be Told Art for 5 years.
When I discovered Truth Be Told Art I knew beyond a shadow of doubt that this was a gift from the Lord and absolutely loved my job.
Like so many small businesses in 2020, Truth Be Told Art was deeply and negatively affected by Covid and the lack of social gatherings. Covid presented more obstacles and restrictions to the business model than they were able to overcome, and had to close their paint party doors corporately after almost 10 years and almost 100,000 paintings later.
Because I am licensed to teach EXCLUSIVE Truth Be Told Art designs New Roots Art branched off from this business to carry on its mission to teach people how to paint, who don't know how to paint, and get God's Truth on it.
Stepping out in faith to do this required a lot of growth, not only in trusting God but also in learning to run my own business only weeks after the birth of my second daughter.
My prayer is that God will dig deep as we break new ground, giving us a strong foundation built on the promises that He gives and that this company not only grows but that it will flourish, bringing forth new growth as a company and spiritual growth in me and in the hearts of those I have the privilege to paint with. May we be rooted in God's truth for now and forever more.

I teach groups throughout the CSRA, specifically the Augusta/North Augusta areas. During an average week I teach around 2 to 3 classes.
I am so blessed to use my art degree to minister to women and children through this creative way. I absolutely love using art to ingrain scripture on not only my heart but also helping mark many homes with God’s truth. I cherish the gift of being apart of so many people's lives through art and it has been a blessing to be able to get to know the women from different churches in my area. They encourage and show the love of Christ to each other and it does my heart good to be able to fellowship with other believers in Christ.
I'm so excited to see what amazing plans God has in store for New Roots Art in our community! Hope to paint with you soon.
